Chairman Chat by Larry Bauer Pathfinder District is off to a great start this year with progam that can't be beat, good returns from our friends of scouts campaign, many new members and hig attendence at training events. However, we cannot stop now. We need to encourage every adult to sign up as a scout parent and to work to help their unit. All units should try to get someone to attend roundtable and encourage a representative to help with the district committee. Increasing membership is a year round goal and everyone should be working to add scouts. All our scouts deserve a trained leader, we still have some unit leaders who need to complete training. We need everyone to help with our community FOS program to create a sustainable source of funding so we can continue to improve the program. To quote Teddy Roosevelt "scouting is important". We are creating a leagacy of boys who have the self relience and leadership skills to have a positive impact on our world. We need to convince others of this fact by our community service. The 100th anniversary is our opportunity to show off to the world. Please participate. |
